Justice For Jeremiah

Justice to be done

There is something shocking about the fact that, after nearly eight years, we are still no nearer a finding as to the real cause of Jeremiah Duggan's death.  When a new inquest was granted earlier this year into the 22-year old student's death, many would have assumed that, at last, the facts would be investigated.  Yet the inquest has been adjourned pending a police investigation that has not happened - and shows no sign of happening.  It is resonant enough that the German authorities should appear to have been keen to cover-up the real facts behind the apparent murder of a Jew; that the British police should also refuse to take its obligations seriously makes a bad situation much worse.
